"A man executes his bestfriend to savr him from an angry mob"
The way the man would execute his bestfriend would be far more humane than what the angry mod would have done. He would be tortured at the hands of the mob instead of just a quick bullett to the back of the head. For example, in "Of Mice and Men" George swiftly takes out Lennie with a pistol bullett to the temple while Lennie is thinking about happy bunnies. If the mob were to have gotten a hold of him it would have been a lot of violence, pain, and horrible thoughts. So instead of dying terrified, he died thinking of sweet bunnies.
I agree with everything you are saying. I would much rather be killed by my best friend then tortured by an angry mod of stranger. I really like how you went back to "Of Mice and Men". Very enjoyable, stay SAUCY.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, just wonderful. I would rather be killed by my best friend out of respect than killed by some random person that doesn't care about me.

ReplyDeleteSo, you all seem to think the end justifies the means--that killing someone to save them suffering is okay. I'm not sure I agree. This seems a slippery slope some might travel. Think of the mother, who smothers her young daughter to spare her the pain and suffering of chemotherapy. Is that okay? What if the daughter, despite having to endure horrible suffering, beats the odds and goes on to live a productive life? What if Lennie, endured the mob, was eventually found not guilty, and went on to enjoy life? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
